The SIP 137 challenge this month is a tic-tac-toe which was fun because you had some choices but, also hard because you had some choices. I ended picking word die cut, watercolor and embossing. The flowers are from Altenew, I cut watercolor card stock that I painted with a wash of pink from dark to light. I then cut the layers and glued. The leaves are pieces I cut cut from some practice water color pages I didn’t want to keep. I felt they needed a bit more color so I used Tombow markers and a water brush to add more color and texture. I die cut hello and mounted it on black foam (I didn’t love the result). The background layers are pieces I had around. I knew I need something embossed so I embossed the center piece using my favorite embossing folder ever, fancy fans.
It’s February but feels like spring! I guess that’s california weather for you. Stamp Ink Paper challenge 136 is cabin fever. I chose my favorite stamping subject, birds.
